How to setup you seasons and prices for daily to weekly bookings:
Caution: In order to be able to generate qutotes, you should define a price for:
A time slot.
A day within a defined season
A base port
Therefore, everytime you create a new season or define prices for a new boat, make sure to go to the "Ports" tab and select the new season or boat on at least one of the bease port blocks. If the prices you added are not showing on the Prices tab it's likely that you haven't added a port.
To create prices for hourly bookings:
Duration: So that you don't have to create many ranges if you have several schedules of the same duration.
E.g. An interval of hours from 10:00 to 12:00 can have a duration of 2 hours or a duration of 1 hour. In that case, the system will create two ranges, from 10:00 to 11:00 and another from 11:00 to 12:00 (1 hour duration each).
Days of the week: The created range will be available only on the selected days of the week.
E.g. in the video the Sunset departure 19:00-21:00 will be offered only on weekends.
You can configure the hourly rates via the little watch icon for each boat and season in the rate blocks. If a price is not set, the range for that boat will not be offered.
Do your prices depend on the day of the week of the start of the departure? For example, two days starting on Saturday are more expensive than two days starting on Tuesday?
To configure your prices in this way, create a pricing block with the "Weekly Ranges" Model.
In the example we will create:
Different daily prices for weekdays and weekends.
Separate prices for two days starting Friday or Saturday, and another for any other day of the week.
A special price for 5-day bookings starting on Monday.
Notes:
This does NOT affect hourly range prices (shorter than a full day).
If the client chooses a starting weekday and a duration whitout a set price, the system won't be able to give him a quote.
If you want to limit the starting weekdays for your boats so that the customer can see only some days you can do it under Booking conditions under Catalog > Prices and Extras.
