Add a shortcut to any AndroNautic page as an "app" from your device

Learn how to do it from any device (mobile, tablet and computer).

 

Quickly accessing any AndroNautic page you need can give you a smoother experience on the platform, as you don't have to go into the browser and search for the page each time.

On both computers and mobile devices (iOS and Android), it is possible to create shortcuts that behave like "apps", with their own icon on the home screen.

 

iOS

Safari:

  1. Open the web page in Safari.
  2. Tap the share icon (a box with an up arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Add to the home screen.
  4. Type a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
  5. The shortcut will be added to your home screen and will function as a standalone application.

 

Android

Google Chrome:

  1. Open the web page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Add to the home screen.
  4. Type a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
  5. The shortcut will be added to your home screen and will function as a standalone application.

 

PC (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu)

Google Chrome:

  1. Access the web page you want to convert to a shortcut with Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the browser.
  3. Select Save and share and then Crete shortcut (you may also find it under More tools, depending on your browser version).
  4. In the pop-up window, check the Open as a window option to make it behave as a standalone application.
  5. Click on Create. The shortcut will appear on your desktop and you can move it to the taskbar or start menu.


Microsoft Edge:

  1. Access the web page you want to convert to a shortcut with Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the browser.
  3. Select Applications and then Install this site as an application.
  4. Click on Install and a shortcut will be added to your desktop or taskbar.


Safari (macOS):

  1. Access the web page you want to convert to a shortcut with Safari.
  2. Click on the File menu on the top bar and select Add to Dock.
  3. Choose a name for the shortcut and click on Add. The icon will now be available in your Dock.

 

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Access the web page you want to convert to a shortcut with Firefox.
  2. Select the URL and drag it to the desktop.
