FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from marine businesses evaluating Andronautic — about the platform, our solutions, integrations and how to get started.

Product & platform

Andronautic is the operating system for boat tours, charters and marine businesses. It connects five capabilities — Sell, Distribute, Operate, Administer and Automate — around the same live data, so a booking flows from sale to operation to finance without being rebuilt in another system.
Run your CRM and sales, take direct bookings, distribute through GDS, OTAs and B2B networks, plan and run the real operation behind every booking, manage payments and invoicing, and automate the workflows around each booking — from payment to departure.
No. Every capability shares the same product, availability, booking and customer data, so information doesn't have to be rebuilt or re-entered as it moves from sales to operations to finance.

Solutions by business type

Andronautic adapts to seven business models: Boat Tours & Experiences, Day Charter, Boat Clubs, Weekly Charter & Houseboat Rental, Tour & Activity Agencies, Charter Agencies and Boat Sales. Each one has its own capability set built around how that business actually operates.
That's common — many businesses combine, for example, day charter with boat sales, or weekly charter with a tour agency model. Talk to us and we'll help you find the right combination of solutions for how you actually operate.
Day Charter covers short, single-day rentals — hourly, half-day or full-day — usually sold and confirmed on the spot. Weekly Charter & Houseboat Rental covers multi-day and week-long bookings, with global GDS distribution (MMK, NauSYS, Yachtsys, Sedna), CRM Opportunities and a longer pre-departure journey. Most businesses only need one of the two, and Andronautic supports running both from the same account if you do.
Yes. Houseboat, canal boat and self-drive fleet operators run on the same Weekly Charter & Houseboat Rental solution as traditional weekly charter, since the operational model — multi-day bookings, fleet calendar, pre-departure documents — is about 95% the same. The main difference is self-drive inductions instead of sailing licences, and houseboat fleets typically sell mostly direct rather than through charter GDS.
Operator solutions — Day Charter, Weekly Charter & Houseboat Rental, Boat Tours & Experiences, Boat Clubs — are built for businesses that run their own fleet, activity or club. Agency solutions — Charter Agencies, Tour & Activity Agencies / DMCs — are built for businesses that sell inventory from multiple fleet operators or suppliers rather than owning it themselves.
Yes — charter fleets can distribute through MMK, NauSYS, Yachtsys and Sedna, and connect with marketplaces like Click & Boat and SamBoat; tour and activity suppliers can distribute through OCTO and similar networks. See all integrations.
