Add a shortcut to any Andronautic page as an "app" on your device

Learn how to do it on any device (mobile, tablet and computer).

Being able to quickly access any Andronautic page you need can make your experience on the platform much smoother, since you won’t have to open the browser and search for the page every time.

On both computers and mobile devices (iOS and Android), you can create shortcuts that behave like “apps,” complete with their own icon on the home screen.

iOS

Safari

  1. Open the web page in Safari.
  2. Tap the share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Add to Home Screen.
  4. Type a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
  5. The shortcut will be added to your home screen and will work as a standalone app.

Android

Google Chrome

  1. Open the web page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Add to Home screen.
  4. Type a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
  5. The shortcut will appear on your home screen and will behave like an app.

PC (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu)

Google Chrome

  1. Go to the web page you want to turn into a shortcut.
  2. Click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Select Save and share and then Create shortcut. (Depending on your browser version, you may also find it under More tools.)
  4. In the pop-up window, check the Open as window option so it behaves like a standalone app.
  5. Click Create. The shortcut will appear on your desktop and you can move it to the taskbar or start menu.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to the web page from Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Apps and then Install this site as an app.
  4. Click Install and a shortcut will be added to your desktop or taskbar.

Safari (macOS)

  1. Go to the page from Safari.
  2. Click the File menu in the top bar and select Add to Dock.
  3. Choose a name for the shortcut and click Add. The icon will now be available in your Dock.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to the web page in Firefox.
  2. Select the URL and drag it to the desktop.
