Edit content II

The structure of a page is the way in which the elements that compose it are organised.

To view it, you need to access Edit Mode and click on the button located in the upper right corner.

A drop-down with the structure of your page will be displayed on the right side of the screen.

Later on, we will learn in more detail about the options this panel offers. For now, our aim is to be able to locate the element that we want to edit.

Important note: It is not always possible to edit an element by double clicking on it, in this case we will need to identify it in the structure.

To locate an item follow these steps:

  1. activate Edit Mode
  2. display the page structure
  3. click on the item

This will open the detail of the structure and it will underline the item in a blue box. The item we are looking for could be exactly the marked one or we could find it next to it: before, after or contained in it.

Examples:

Before
We are looking for "Element C2", but when we click on it, "Element C1" is marked on the structure:

  • Element A
  • Element B
  • Element C
    • Element C1
    • Element C2

After
We are looking for "Element C1", but when we click on it, "Element C2" is the market one:

  • Element A
  • Element B
  • Element C
    • Element C1
    • Element C2

Contained in it

When looking for "Element C1", actually "Element C" is marked in the structure:

  • Element A
  • Element B
  • Element C
    • Element C1
    • Element C2
